“My favorite are their very well-balanced medium roasts (especially the single-origin Columbian ones), which I find really flavorsome.”
“AFAIK, this location is not open to the public except for their just-restarted cuppings on the first Friday of the month (check their IG).”

What customers say
These guys are great! We're so happy to have them in our neighborhood, representing true coffee craftsmanship. I popped in today to get some coffee, loved the big clean space, the kid area and James, the most friendly barista.
Small Planes Coffee is a DC based coffee roastery in an industrial part of town. It comes to the city from the owners of one of DC"s first successful independent coffee shops, Peregrine. They roast coffee fairly sources from countries like Ethiopia, Colombia, and Guatemala.
I have literally bought 5 bags of coffee from here and have loved every one. even giving them to clients as gifts. as good as any of the big roasters out there and in our back yard.
Best roaster in the DMV area hands down, and I have tried all of them regularly since 2018. They do light-to-medium roasts perfectly. Their rotation single origins are great and I highly recommend anything they get from Colombia or Ethiopia.
