Upper Left Roasters

A small block away from Hawthorne, Upper Left Roasters is a perfect place to catch up with friends or read a book by yourself. The indoor space is well lit with natural lights from the big window, the patio area also has plenty of seats.

***Update: Finally ordered food, was sadly disappointed by the avocado toast. Although the avocado was perfectly ripe, the bread it rested on didn’t offer enough contrast in texture. There were only a couple Mama Lil’s peppers, not enough for every bite. Personally I thought this dish was rather “blah.

We got the Cafe Blend espresso, La Roca espresso, and the Ladd's drip as well as a chocolate banana muffin. The espresso here is... Freaking excellent! By far the best house blend espresso I've ever had and the single origin was great as well.

Upper left is by far my favorite coffee roaster in PDX. Their latté had the right amount of creamy taste and consistency, and yet not tasting all milky. It's a very well lit space, they also have some wonderful outdoor seating. Overall a very good vibe!
