November 24, 2025 - Consistency is important when it comes to a great cup of coffee. The River is consistent. I know I will get a great cup of coffee and outstanding service every time I drop in. Today, I stopped in after work. On the menu was a new selection of beans from Nicaragua. I ordered a pour over.
This café is truly a hidden gem in Central Illinois. Before I moved to the area, it was one of the first places I visited—and years later, it continues to impress me. They consistently offer high-quality, distinctive, and exquisite coffees.
The River Coffee co is the perfect place to get a fresh pour over coffee. They always have great selections to choose from. Great place to meet a friend, do laptop work- or just pick up a book they have for sale. The owners and all the staff or fantastic people!
Got a tasty vanilla latte, not too sweet - it was perfect. I love all the plants & atmosphere. Ordered & paid online, very convenient! Also bought a cute T shirt when I came to pick up. Very cool merch.
