Last Saturday morning's coffee jaunt had me in the tight and narrow streets of Southside, Sarah Street. You can't miss this brother's owned Industrial, brick & mortar beauty of a coffee shop, previously a bar. Standing Wave Coffee Roaster.
My boyfriend and I stopped here this morning on my way to work after passing by it all week. I was Excited to find out there was a coffee truck on the little “back way” route. The woman at the counter was friendly and very chill. The menu is simple but customisable and the coffee / espresso is 10/10.
This is easily one of the best coffee shops in the South Side. They clearly care about their craft and use top-of-the-line equipment and processes to create a consistent roast (they roast in-house) and fairly consistent coffee experience. The atmosphere is also quite welcoming.
Wow. The most Pleasant surprise right around the corner. Lovely staff, warm cozy vibes, delicious offerings, and of course, fantastic coffee and espresso beverages. I had an oat milk latte and an almond croissant which blew me away.
