I've been trying to hit all of the big coffee roasters in Chicago and think this is a contender for the best in the city (at least top 4). It's located (fairly) deep into Chicago's southwest side but I think it's worth making an adventure towards.

In house roasted coffee served in a stark white & clean interior. Coffee and pastries were both very good and they do have a selection of hot sandwiches available as well. Really liked the look of the roasters themselves, and the replica sputnik hanging from the ceiling.
We live in the suburbs and have had a few family coffee crawls all over the Chicago area. Sputnik has become our favorite. The new place is nice, clean and has plenty of seating. Good ambience.
