A visit to Sey Coffee is nothing short of a pilgrimage for anyone serious about specialty coffee. This is a world-renowned roastery whose coffees are celebrated in some of the best specialty cafés globally — including Motors Coffee — and experiencing it at the source is something special.
Sey is the kind of coffee café that makes you rethink what coffee can be. Tucked away in Bushwick lies coffee lovers paradise! The space is airy, minimal, and filled with natural light—basically a sanctuary for coffee purists.
One of the best iced coffees I’ve ever had. Everything here seemed to revolve around the roast. No trendy drinks, no syrups, just coffee and tea. They rotate the roast for their iced coffee, and the one they were using when I went was incredibly fruity.
Went to try Sey’s famous Nordic style Roasts only to find a fairly limited bean menu (2 beans, both washed processed from South America) and the fact that they only do Aeropress (no pour-overs). With that said, the brew was pretty good. I had their Wilson Alba Pink Bourbon from Colombia ($15.50).
