SEPIA coffee project is a standout café that beautifully honors Detroit’s rich history and spirit. Located in a neighborhood that’s full of character, this coffee roaster offers more than just great coffee—it’s a space that feels deeply connected to the city’s roots.

Was visiting from Dallas for work. Chose to come by because of the ethos of the shop. Then I saw the reviews, and it was done. The staff was very friendly and open. The cafe had a part factory/part coffee shop look and feel, which I loved. Industry meets The Earth, y’know?

Cool vibe, friendly service and worth going to even if it's off the beaten path. Very reasonable drip coffee price and it tasted great. I also bought the Abdo Aba Mecha Ethiopian coffee beans and the taste of the coffee from it after I ground the beans for pour-over was amazing! Definitely Top 10 beans I've ever had.

I visited from Tokyo, Sepia was highly recommended to me, I was not disappointed 😊 Great place to learn about speciality coffee! They have some of the best beans in town. I tried the Ratnagiri Estate, Peaberry and Ethiopian. Both were great! I bought the Ethiopian, and enjoy it everyday on cold drip.
