First, the coffee arrived on time and in great condition. Second, the royal blend tastes great! I bought whole beans, ground it myself and prepared it in a French press.
I have not been to the retail location, but have been buying Ovelle coffee weekly at local farmers markets for a few months. Having tried many local and regional small coffee roasters, I can say without hesitation that the beans coming from Sasha at Ovelle are consistently the best around.
Ovelle Coffee is one of the most unique specialty coffee roasters in Connecticut. They specialize in Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee and are the only company in Connecticut with a direct trade relationship with the farmers in Jamaica, which makes their coffee program incredibly special and intentional.
“Better Roast Morning Blend” was April’s subscription coffee - very good !! Like the light and dark roast combo. Tried it as iced coffee today - ok but i may have not made it strong enough to stand up to ice.
