El Tigre Coffee Roasters

I’ll start with when I walked in. It’s a hot San Antonio day and I’m hit with a blast of cool air and just like the sign outside says “vibes”, which are certainly good ones. El Tigre is a colossal step up from their upstairs neighbors, but that’s another review for another time. Enough chit chat.

the coffee was so silky smooth. the espresso had a nice, almost chocolate-y flavor. chef mat, i believe was his name, was super friendly and made the effort to get to know my bf and i and made our sandwiches with love! we’re from the RGV but would make the effort to visit again when in town.

Found this lovely local coffee roaster the first day in town and made sure to return the next day. This women owned cafe brings the energy and vibes, not to mention delicious lattes and top notch service. This would be my go to if I lived here. Highly recommend.

I'm in love with the cozy, welcoming vibe inside, and the outdoor seating is just as charming. There's also a parking lot right across the street. A little tip, parking can be limited, but if you ask the barista to validate your ticket after the first free hour, you'll get an extra hour free.
