“Ron is wonderful and is very knowledgeable, I also had the pleasure of meeting his son who also gave us some great tips on how to select the coffee for our espresso machine!”
“Even though I live about 35mins away, I love that they have a subscription option that gets my fresh coffee delivered to my doorstep.”
What regulars say again and again
“To add the very short of it at the start, if you live in Arizona and drink freshly roasted coffee daily and you are not buying from Cortez, you need to at least try a bag.”

What customers say
So, this is not a storefront anymore, it is just their roasting headquarters. It used to have a small countertop bar but I think that moved downtown. They’re closed to the public right now. Their actual coffee shop (congrats on opening) is on 2245 E Washington Ave. There you can get them to make you a cup or espresso.
Just got my first order in the other day, ordered whole bean from Nepal. Shipping was fast. Their website is awesome. Top notch customer service is definitely their focus. The coffee itself is next level. The scent, the appearance, the taste is caffeinated perfection. I'd write this coffee a poem if it could read.
Great beans! Roasted by someone who is honestly passionate about the craft. The customer service is amazing, especially for those who are interested in different perspectives. I look forward to ordering online. Purchasing in person was a breeze but I rather not drive!
This review for Cortez is long overdue. To add the very short of it at the start, if you live in Arizona and drink freshly roasted coffee daily and you are not buying from Cortez, you need to at least try a bag. My first order was because it was cheaper than other local specificity roasters.
