The Village Coffee by Altara

I drove an hour after hearing about a new coffee shop serving Indonesian specialty beans that had just opened in downtown Rowlett. It completely exceeded my expectations. Their Java Banana beans are the best — it truly blew me away. Hands down, one of the best coffees in Texas.

Was recommended this coffee shop, and had to give it a try. The worker is really nice and friendly as well as the atmosphere. I got an iced vanilla latte and it was delicious, just the perfect amount of vanilla and I enjoyed the roast that they used for the beans.

This coffee shop is attached to Freedom Place Church. Simple shop with 2 separate sitting rooms. I went on a Saturday afternoon and no one else was there. The people working were kind. The signature latte with pandan was definitely unique. I tried it with banana espresso which made my total $8.34.

I was so excited to try out Village Coffee and it did not disappoint! The Java Banana beans are direct from Indonesia and absolutely delicious. The Nusantara Latte made with Pandan was my fave. Do yourself a favor and come try this coffee shop out! Jordan and Adriana were so fun to chat with about coffee too. :)
