The Tilted Windmill - An Eclectic Cafe

This is a wonderful place with great food, baked goods (the double chocolate muffin was warm and soo good), excellent coffee along with an amazing variety of loose leaf teas, roasted coffee beans plus balsamic vinegar, seasonings, seasoned salt, and sugar. There is a lot of room / places to sit, which is always nice.

This is a must see when in Brenham. From the moment you walk in the lead glass door, you're in a special place. Ellie and company buy the best quality ingredients and make everything on-site. I had the Monte sandwich, which is a turkey sandwich.

I’ve eaten here twice and today took my son for breakfast. First of all, the atmosphere is unique because it’s open, yet has a cozy and welcoming feel to it. The staff is so down to earth and check to see how the meal is regardless of whether busy or not. Today I had the pecan bourbon and my son the raspberry.

I was lucky enough to visit for my first time during their first breakfast service and it was phenomenal! The bourbon peach french toast was absolutely delicious, and would pretty much be worth the drive from Austin just for that. The service was surprisingly fast and the staff were all super helpful and friendly.
