I love good coffee shops. To be honest, the Fairfax Coffee Roastery isn't my typical cool, ultra Swedish hip décor kind of place that I usually go for. Does that matter? No! The Roastery is soo Fairfax, so down home and so daggily local that going there is wandering in to the soul of Fairfax.
A lucky find crossing from Hwy 1 to the 101 Fwy: we happened to be there on a Sunday, and enjoyed the jazz jam session by the one man band. Stopped by this extremely fun atmospheric coffeehouse. Coffee's on display 👌, huge written menu and large espresso making area. I had a Macchiato, a real Macchiato, which was so good I went back two days in a row. Exceptional coffeehouse.
What a gem! There was live music on a Sunday when we were there, and he was incredible! Good coffee, friendly service, fast line, lots of places to sit. They have a large variety of beans and roasts. Definitely worth a visit the next time you're in Fairfax.
