Great modern coffee place, high quality indeed. The espresso here served in the best way I found so far in LA, a single shot, small chocolate cube, and small glass of sparkling water. The mix of the three is just perfect, like a local coffee shop in a small village in Italy or Spain.
This place is alright. I ordered an espresso con panna, the espresso was mid, and then they sprayed a dollop of ready whip on top. Not exactly what you would get in Italy but it’s alright. I also got the almond croissant as recommended by the guy helping me who was friendly.
Consistently great coffee and a solid place to work or relax The Boy & The Bear on Washington is one of the most reliable coffee shops in the area. The coffee is consistently excellent—smooth, balanced, and well-roasted without being overly bitter or acidic.
These kinds of coffee shops are rare. A true coffee experience for any person seriously interested in the craft of coffee (or those just getting started as well). The coffee selection is strictly Columbian through direct (and I mean truly direct) farmer-roaster-barista relationships.
