This is a bit of a mixed review. During our first visit (Friday), I could say I had one of the best lattes I ever had. The Salted Caramel latte was well balanced, the espresso was rich and full bodied, the milk was perfectly silky. The store had a cozy holiday vibe and was not as busy. The pastry I ordered was ok too.
Solid State Coffee is my secret go-to after the American Museum of Natural History with kids. It can get crowded, but the line moves fast, which matters a lot when you’re operating on museum-level child energy. What keeps me coming back is that both the coffee and the food are genuinely very good.
Solid State Coffee is a fantastic coffee shop with a surprisingly large amount of seating for New York City. They have a nice selection of beans for purchase, a wide variety of pastries, good selection of coffee options, and a nice food menu. I ordered a Mocha, Jelly filled donut, and a bacon cheddar danish.
This is the best little coffee shop on the Upper West Side! Cozy and chill with a wonderful and friendly staff. Their espresso is so smooth, I barely add any cream and sugar, so yum! Solid State has merch as well with cute hoodies and hats. Plenty of seating in the back and a comfy waiting space.
