Silk City Coffee

I’ve been a loyal patron here since the start and it’s, by far, the favorite go-to place of mine in the Hartford area. The staff is great, the baked goods are unreal (including vegan/gluten free) and are all baked on-site. Recently, the owners began roasting and packaging their own beans..

Amazing coffee and food. The blueberry crumb muffin was buttery and out of this world yummy. The cappuccino was strong and presented nicely. Espresso over birch beer was a good combo, I never would have though of. The goat cheese sausage egg and spinach sandwich was delish too.

Came here on my Hartford coffee crawl! Staff was super friendly and helped me order the ICED LEMON CREAM LATTE... espresso, milk, white chocolate, lemon over ice. This was a spring time drink special . The lemon was Almost to the point of being too overpowering with its flavor.

Great service, the espresso was maybe a tad under, but I’m not overly familiar with their beans, so that may be how it’s intended. It was still delicious. The staff are all so pleasant and obviously talented! I will be coming back when I’m in town again!
