A busy little coffee shop but for good reason. I personally was never even into coffee until a friend introduced me to Signal, and then my eyes were opened to what good coffee tastes like. I think they do a medium roast for their coffees and it’s very smooth, not acidic, good roasted flavor of the beans.

I love a good iced americano, and this signal location does them very well! Most shops on the island don’t seem to dial in their espresso so americanos end up pretty gross - that is not the case with signal! They consistently pull great shots, have awesome food choices, and are knowledgeable about the beans they sell.

A gem of a cafe on Webster in Alameda. Signal roasts its own coffee and offers a nice variety of coffee and tea drinks. Everything is good and they have a quality selection of light bites too - sweet and savory items, hot and cold. James and everyone else we’ve met there is always so hospitable.
