I've visited many, many coffee shops in LA and Regent Coffee is one of my favorites, probably the most underrated one in LA's coffee scene. Regent's specialty is their barrel aged coffee. Their beans were chosen with profiles that coordinate with whiskey, and aged in Bourbon barrels before small batch roasting.
Visiting specialty coffee shops is a hobby of mine, and the barrel-aged coffee from here might be my overall favorite out of hundreds of shops I have visited over the years, around the world. We visited months ago and I still think about the coffee at Regent. The flavor is so memorable and delicious.
January 2025: Stopped by for an afternoon coffee ☕ and tried the Ethiopia pour over. I'm a big coffee snob and I thought my Coffee was fantastic! 😋 Temperature was nice and hot. Cocoa, Jasmine, strawberry 🍓 and lime 🍋🟩. I like my coffee with a little Califia farms oat milk and they had it for me.
This place is such a gem. It’s obvious they take pride in their craft. Their menu rotates and their seasonal were all super creative. I was indecisive and I got a lot of patient explanation and suggestions. Super happy with my choice of a bourbon tiramisu dream. Gorgeous presentation and tasty (which is the point).
