Red House Roasters Coffee

Red House Roasters is a true find in a rather gritty part of Newark on a small side street parallel with McCarter Highway. For years I thought it was a funky music studio until I actually stopped by.

This place is beyond legit. It's basically a warehouse where they roast coffee and you have the opportunity to buy it there. They also make and serve coffee. I haven't even tried the beans, but I'm pretty confident they'll be great.

Just picked this up today after discovery and ordering online. Had a chat with the very friendly owner who has been roasting for 12 years. Ordered the Aponte Honey Processed whole bean coffee from Nariño, Colombia. Wow, what a great roast.

I love this place! The owner is super nice along with the employees. They have in house roasting which guarantees the freshest beans (or grounds, if you prefer). They offer all types of roast depending on the type of bean. Ask them about their range of coffee and they'll help you find the right bean and roast for you.
