Penny Coffee Roasters

I’ve only been to Penny Roasters Coffee in downtown Kearney a couple of times so far, but I’ve had great experiences both visits. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting—perfect for meeting with friends or sitting down with a work associate without a lot of noise or distractions.

I’ve become a coffee snob. I used to enjoy dark roast. The darker the better. Penny only roasts medium and they have shown me that done right, it’s all you need, and the flavors are much more balanced and robust. Whenever I end up at a different coffee joint, I’m never as happy with the product.

It’s family owned business. We stopped here for coffee beans on our way to Colorado and appreciated that they only offer medium and light roasts. The staff was super friendly and even gave us a sample of the coffee, despite our arriving shortly before closing time. The interior looked great as well.

Every time I'm here I'm treated to really good coffee, a relaxing and cozy atmosphere, and engaging people. It's a bonus that i can take really good beans home with me, too. [My favorite is their Ethiopian... Soooo good]. Stocking stuffers for my coffee lovers!
