Papaver Roaster House

I'm a big fan of how Papaver's distinctive lighter roast style presents itself in espresso-forward drinks such as cortado and macchiato. If you've never had sea buckthorn tea, Papaver is the place to give this standout decaf option a try - think warm, aromatic citrus that is also packed with vitamin C.

Visiting from out of town, (Louisville, KY) and I’m so happy my wife and I found this cafe. They made the best 8oz mocha I’ve had yet! I’m quite picky when it comes to coffee drinks w/ milk but their movha was the perfect balance of espresso to milk / cocoa flavor. The espresso wasn’t overly bitter or under-extracted.

Firstly, I would like to take everyone who is reading this through my first impressions of our coffee experience on a Sunday afternoon visually then I will discuss the coffee.

Papaver Roasters is a beautiful, modern space with tons of seating both inside and out. The pastry case is super tempting, but the real standout is the coffee. You can tell it’s made with care and precision. I tried the Black Sea salt latte and the Cuban shot cortado, both were fantastic.
