Nirvana Soul Coffee

I recently stopped by Nirvana Soul in downtown San Jose and ordered the Red Eye — brewed coffee with espresso. The coffee was excellent and honestly the first time I’ve ordered a drink like that without feeling the need to customize it.

Nirvana Soul is a great coffee place with a history. It used to be a location of an old Italian coffee shop, which used to have comedy shows and other types of shows on some of the evenings.

7 tables downstairs and 3 upstairs. Upstairs is very cute with a skylight. Vegan muffins, milks and a gluten-free mochi cake that is not labeled vegan but according to the allergen label has only coconut and nuts. They also have a piano!

A place with positive vibes and good coffee. The servers are super friendly. Expect a crowd on weekends. Wish they had more seating space. Art work is lovely. The hazelnut mocha is a special and it’s good though a tad bit too sweet. They have a bunch of non dairy milk options.
