MudPenney is one of those places that consistently delivers with their main thing. In other words, I’ve had espressos, cortados, lattes, and pour overs, and they do a great job time and again with their coffee.
We had a delightful breakfast here. The ambiance is top notch with a comfortably restored older building looking out on a vibrant neighborhood. Coffee is roasted on site and is top notch. We had the Roosevelt Park blend--a light to medium roast. One of us had the Insta-worthy, and it was top notch. I had the BYOB.
This place has genuinely unique breakfast options and fantastic coffee from a local roaster—I really love coming here. The food feels thoughtfully sourced, with especially good sausage and toast. The only downside is the price: even the “classic” breakfast, one of the more affordable items, came out to $25 with tip.
