I ordered the brown sugar latte and a pie. The brown sugar latte was perfectly balanced for my taste. The pie was red beans and rice with seasonings on top. I loved the flavor but was a little dry. Cost of latte was 5.50 was well worth it. The pie was also 5.

I am on a mission to find my favorite coffee spot. My criteria is nice atmosphere (the less industrial the better), great coffee, great service, and real mugs. Lucky Detroit Coffee Roasters is in a very cute spot. A barber shop downstairs turned into a coffee shop. It is on the darker side on the atmosphere side.

Located under the barbershop, this hole in the wall cafe is a nice place to relax with a cup of coffee. They have a small menu, but what they offer, including their good service, is worth the trip. I especially liked their house specialty vanilla bean latte (specialty lattes come with two shots, by the way).

Lucky Detroit is a gem! I’m hooked on their pistachio milk matcha latte—super creamy and flavorful, and it’s the only place I know that uses pistachio milk. It adds such a nice enhancement without overpowering the matcha.
