A real coffee house that does individual pour over brew method along with a variety of other coffee, tea and unique drink options. Wonderful baked goods and sweets and cute merchandise available. I highly recommend visiting for a great cup of coffee!! Friendly staff to help you choose your favorite coffee or drink.
The Java House is a long-standing corner stone of the Iowa City and University of Iowa academic culture. This is the preferred study and socializing local for both graduate students and undergraduate students because of the open and friendly atmosphere which supports conversation and work.
Great atmosphere! One of few coffee shop in downtown open early (before 7am). Love the coffee and pastry but the staff could have shown better passionate.
Not only is Java House the home of best cup of coffee in Iowa City, but the managers and staff are incredible. We had a medical emergency while eating lunch there and the staff went above and beyond to help us. Thank you!!! Update: I recently found out this place is dog, friendly, which makes it even better!
