Good espresso and nice service. It took a bit longer to get it, but the espresso was excellent and it was handmade by the barista. At $3.95 it’s a bit expensive if you ask me, but they did put it in a glass cup 😎.
Have tried Peet’s, Starbucks, Blue bottle, cafe Santana, modern coffee & souvenir coffee (all either chains or third waves local to the east bay). This is consistently one of the best latte or other espresso drinks around. (Although modern & souvenir are right up there too.
One of the best coffee spots in the city—not just for the espresso, but for the heart. The staff here serve up warmth, quality, and courage. Seeing their small pins of solidarity reminded me that good coffee tastes even better when it’s brewed in a space that stands for something. I felt not just welcome, but seen.
About as good a Cortado as I’ve had as this place knows what one actually is. And the serving temperature was spot on, something too many places haven’t figured out. Oh yeah and the flavor profile was delicious too. So good I brought a bag of beans to take back to NYC with me.
