High Beam Coffee Roastery

Lovely Red Hook cafe with good beans. I had their drip which had good berry and tart fruit notes. Most people get espressos here it seems but I respect the drip for sure. If I lived nearby I'd come weekly.

Café with a real coffee roaster inside. Clean modern aesthetic. Backyard seating with heaters and picnic tables. My lemon poppyseed muffin was tangy and hit the spot. Two tops were a little wobbly.

Finally, we were able to pop into this newish coffee spot on Van brunt Street. We tried the Miso houjicha latte which was very tasty although it tasted more like dessert than coffee, but fair enough since it has a lot going on. Also they make a very solid chai, not too sweet and flavorful.

Coffee: - If you are a classic coffee lover - avoid + If you are into Specialty - you will likely love it! - Don’t have oven to heat a croissant:( ++ Nice venue, spacious, roastery inside quite cool + outdoor space!
