What's in the cup
“They do have an incredible selection: four single origin beans for both pour-over and single dose espresso.”
“What a fabulous way to start your Sunday, sipping an espresso, bopping to groovy beats… And of course, things brings me to the last but not least topic: the coffee!”
“I have been here twice and tried all styles of their coffees: drip, pour-over, espresso, cappuccino and cold brew.”
“They have the cold brews facing outwards so the customers can pick them up when they’re ready and they’re set on a timer to perfectly pour 8 oz.”
What regulars say again and again
“Some of the best espresso shots I remember in recent years have come from Hedge coffee and now you can enjoy them in their own cafe space.”

What customers say
Highly anticipated cafe offering up some delicious beverages in a beautiful space. Some of the best espresso shots I remember in recent years have come from Hedge coffee and now you can enjoy them in their own cafe space. I have tried the tonic and the cold brew and both have been excellent.
Hedge offers some of the smoothest beans to be had in sf. A great new addition to our cafe lineup. The vanilla latte had a floral undertone with no bitterness or acidity. They use Kinto and Hasami ceramics to pair! Not to mention towering dark washed interiors with a skylight and lovely speakers to pair.
For design, from the cups and accessories, to the coffee bar and wall finishes, this place is a 10. Even the clothing of the staff match the theme. For coffee, the style is light-medium, which is too dark for my preferred taste, which is for the nordic roasting style.
Arguably (definitely?) the best cafe in SF. Let’s start with the vibe: buzzy, energetic, warm, and friendly. The baristas were kind and passionate — even taking the time to explain to me (a coffee noob, clearly!) what they used whisk for in making latte art. Fascinating stuff. Now onto the music: a live DJ?!
