Gregs Rocking Goat Coffee

We went out of our way to visit Greg's Rockin' Goat Coffee simply because I wanted to find a good coffee roaster in the area. And we are so glad we found Greg's! Shortly after we ordered, Greg's mom came over to greet us and introduce herself.

We were in the area for the week coming from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. My wife and I look to visit independent coffee shops every week to help support small businesses. Today we stopped at this cool, rock'n'roll inspired shop. The music history is prevalent as memorabilia covers the walls and display cases.

We wanted whole beans they were out, the Barista said just a minute, we thought she went to the store rm, lo and behold the owner Greg Upchurch brought us freshly roasted beans. By the way he played drums for 3 Doors Down and Puddle of Mudd.

I visited here without knowing the story of who the owner was; we were just there for coffee from a place that wasn't a chain. Turns out that I was in the coffee shop of the drummer from one of the bands I listened to a lot in my teenage and early adult years, so that was a cool bonus.
