There is an art to espresso, coffee roasting… if you feel that way, go to Gracenote. They take it serious but are in no way pretentious. You could get an hour long explanation on roasting and the process of making a good espresso, or have a beer and talk about the Red Sox with the baristas.
Gracenote is a beacon of light amidst a sea of bad coffee. I was in Boston on a business trip, and I was having the hardest time finding a decent coffee shop. After a few days I finally googled "best pour overs in Boston," and found Gracenote. What a gift! The coffee was freshly roasted and brewed perfectly.

I visited Gracenote Coffee Roasters yesterday and had such a great experience! The coffee was really good — smooth, rich, and full of flavor. I was waiting outside with my dog, Pooky, and the staff kindly told me we could bring him inside. They were so nice and welcoming, which made my day!
