Dark Horse Coffee Roasters

Great coffee shop in the heart of Northpark! Used to be a regular staple when we lived here a few years ago and happy to say the quality hasn’t changed in two years! Fun vibe with great pastries and donuts! The donuts are vegan and really solid! You can buy beans to make at home as well!

This was my first time going to dark horse coffee roasters. We had just grabbed lunch nearby and I decided to get a coffee for the drive back to San Diego. There was no wait. This particular location is pretty small inside so after you order they make you go outside and wait for the finished product.

I got the salted maple with an extra espresso shot and it is so tasty! Not too sweet either, a real latte. The staff is great and they practically have a contactless walk-up window right now. This is a vegan-friendly coffee spot as they have milk alternatives, (most importantly oat 😋).

I have been coming to Dark Horse for years whenever I visit San Diego. Their coffee is consistently excellent and it is my go-to. Their drip coffee is excellent as well as their cold brew. Espresso drinks are great as well. I can’t recommend them enough. Give them a try the next time you are in San Diego!
