The service isn't super fast and the coffee isn't quite as good as 1oz a couple blocks away but my friends and I much prefer Dana Street for the atmosphere here.
I like to support neighborhood coffee shops. This one had a relaxed, collegial and down-to-earth vibe. The pleasant smell of coffee wafted in the air. The baked good pickings looked slim but we were there for an after-lunch espresso/macchiato. With the spring-like weather it was nice to hangout curbside.
Dana Street Roasting is by far the best coffee roaster in the South Bay. If you buy beans with a "roasted on" date, this is the definitive place to buy freshly roasted beans. They custom pack so you don't have to buy prepackaged sizes.
The coffee bean taste and aroma are evident with every sip, offering a fresh sensation. I like their balance of cappuccino —it’s foamy yet doesn’t overpower the espresso. Local, casual, relaxed vibes inside makes you feel like your go-to neighborhood coffee shop.
