What's in the cup
“Nice spot to sit and connect, espresso was good though a little over extracted, Oat Milk Mocha was perfect temp and toasty, but lacking on chocolate.”
“No prob getting an excellent Kalita even around 5 pm - thanks for not eliminating it, like lots of others along the West Coast!”
What regulars say again and again
“They have unique flavors because they roast their own coffee.”

“I had a mocha and enjoyed a few selections from the pastry case (hint: brownie and the oatmeal cookie are awesome).”
“Staff was very nice and friendly, welcomed us and provided suggestions as well followed up to see if we wanted more of the honey lavender added into our drink.”
What customers say
A charming coffee shop with great coffee and friendly service. The shop has a cozy and relaxed vibe, wild house plants (not impeccably shaped cacti) on racks, wooden counter and tables, beautiful espresso machine with a vintage look, and warm sun lights casting soft shadows on the wall.
No pourovers at this location, but had a great iced Americano! Lots of seating, but it gets quite cozy and the store fills up quick. Americano was nutty and the flavours really came through. They have their coffee dialed in! Great spot for a quick grab-n-go or to sit (if you can find a seat) for an hour or two!
Case Study is one of my favorite coffee shops in Portland. I really like how they always include a shot of selzer water along side the espresso. It really improves the entire experience. When you are there, look at their espresso machine. It looks space aged somehow.
I usually go to the NE Alberta St location, but this one is just as charming. No prob getting an excellent Kalita even around 5 pm - thanks for not eliminating it, like lots of others along the West Coast! As usual, both natural & washed beans avaialable. Patisserie display is lovely!
