I used to live right behind this shop. I often would walk in the morning from my house to grab some espresso, and I would look forward to the walk every morning. The baristas are cool, and I've discovered some really great music from the different playlists they put on.
Ordered lavender matcha today, it was absolutely delightful. Staff is really friendly and welcoming. Greg took my order, super kind with a great sense of humor. He did latte art for my friend, it was so cute. Ask him to make one for you, their espresso tastes amazing! They also sell roasted coffee beans.
In a world of Starbucks, Dutch Brothers, and all those other crazy chains, cartel really brings it home with that down home feeling like the coffee shops I grew up with in Arizona. What they did with this historic old house really keeps me coming back every time I visit town.
Outstanding attention to quality of coffee and excellent, fresh roasted beans with friendly service. I really appreciate the attention to presentation. Drinks not ordered to go are served in appropriate glass or ceramic vessels with beautiful milk art.
