They roast AMAZING coffee here, seriously one of the best out of all I’ve tried!!! Something about it. Their espresso is so deep so smooth so you can’t go wrong with a latte or any espresso drinks. The cold brew is a wonderful choice during hot weather. It’s not acidic at all, chocolatey and nutty just the best.
Camellia Coffee hits all the right notes for downtown Sacramento. Bright, welcoming, and buzzy in the best way, it is the kind of café where you can settle in and actually enjoy your coffee. I had their flat white and loved it, silky microfoam with that paint-like texture and a clean, balanced shot underneath.
Camellia Coffee Roasters is named after Sacramento’s city flower, the camellia, and they also support the local Camellia Society. They started out as a wholesale coffee roaster in Sacramento before opening their own café. I tried their signature Horchata Cold Brew and really enjoyed it.
Given the harshness of the world, the seemingly inevitable economic and ecological collapse, and the propagation of endless conspiracy theories in an incredibly divisive country, finding a charming cup of coffee served by nice people in a good atmosphere feels almost spiritual.
