We found this place walking around the neighborhood. It’s unassuming, simple and an institution for the area. Last time we grabbed small bags of their organic roasts for home. We like doing pour overs and espresso. My partner specifically liked the Guatemalan bean for its blueberry notes.
It's awesome that places like this can still be found out here. Aside from those fancy, pretentious cafes, this place shines as a classic, old school neighborhood coffee roaster. They roast their beans on site in the open. I spoke to the owner.

I've been going to Baruir to get my pound of French Roasted Colombian (ground at #4 on their grinder) for over 20 years. The look of the place has changed a bit, but the quality of the roast hasn't changed. This place is amazing.
