On a long ride back from Austin to Santa Fe I initially passed this place as its small and was unexpected in such a small town. So i turned around and was well rewarded for doing so with a perfectly made latte...and I'm a coffee snob - no Starbucks for me.
I was not prepared for the culinary delight that awaited me at Avid Coffee Roasters in Farwell, Texas. In the heart of what many might call the middle of nowhere, a true oasis of caffeinated perfection exists.
We drove from Austin to Santa Fe and stopped in for a cup of coffee for the road. I had a pour-over and husband had a seasonal coffee drink. Oh, man! GOOD. VERY good! We consider ourselves coffee snobs and this little shop has all of our respect - it was so good we stopped back in today on our return home!
Wow! This place is like an oasis! I had a pour over coffee and a couple of kolaches and everything was excellent! Super friendly people. I highly recommend stopping here. Z
